The State Internet Information Office issued the Provisions on the Administration of Internet User Account Name on February 4. The Provisions require internet information service providers to review the registration information submitted by internet users, including account name, head portrait and introduction, so as to protect user information and citizens privacy and timely handle illegal and improper information contained in registration information.
The Provisions will come into force on March 1, 2015.
