The State Council earlier this week issued the Decision on Temporarily Adjusting in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone the Administrative Approval Rules or Special Entry Management Measures Prescribed in Relevant Administrative Regulations and State Council Documents.

The adjustments called for in the Decision are aimed at improving the mode of foreign investment management and expanding the level of opening-up in the service industry. At the same time, the Decision requests that relevant departments of the State Council and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government make corresponding adjustments to their regulations and regulatory documents.
