Notice of the Supreme People's Court on Issuing the Provisions on Case Guidance (No. 51 [2010] of the Supreme People's Court) The higher people's courts of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, the Military Court of the People's Liberation Army, and the Production and Construction Corps Branch of the Higher People's Court of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region: The Provisions of the Supreme People's Court on Case Guidance, as adopted at the 1501st session of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court on November 15, 2010, are hereby issued to you for your diligent implementation. November 26, 2010 Provisions of the Supreme People's Court on Case Guidance In order to sum up trial experience, unify the application of law, enhance the quality of trials and maintain judicial justice, these Provisions regarding case guidance are formulated in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Organization of the People's Courts and other legal provisions.

Article 1 The Supreme People's Court shall determine and uniformly publish guiding cases that have a guiding function for trial and enforcement by people's courts throughout the country.
