Interim Provisions on the Administration of the Development of Public Information Services Provided through Instant Messaging Tools

Article 1 To further promote the sound and orderly development of public information services provided through instant messaging tools, protect the lawful rights and interests of citizens, legal persons, and other organizations, and maintain the state security and public interest, these Provisions are developed in accordance with the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Maintaining the Security of the Internet, the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Strengthening Online Information Protection, the Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Several Issues concerning the Application of Law in the Handling of Defamation through Information Networks and Other Criminal Cases, the Measures for the Administration of Internet Information Service, the Provisions on the Administration of Internet News Information Services, and other relevant laws and regulations.
