Announcement of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China The Provisions of the Supreme People's Court on Citation of Such Normative Legal Documents as Laws and Regulations in the Judgments, which were adopted at the 1470th meeting of the judicial committee of the Supreme People's Court on July 13, 2009, are hereby promulgated, and shall come into force on November 4, 2009. October 26, 2009 Provisions of the Supreme People's Court on Citation of Such Normative Legal Documents as Laws and Regulations in the Judgments (Interpretation No. 14 [2009] of the Supreme People's Court) For purposes of further regulating the citation of such normative legal documents as laws and regulations in the judgments, improving the quality of rulings, ensuring the judicial integration and maintaining the authority of law, these Provisions are formulated in accordance with the Legislation Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws.

Article 1 A judgment made by the people's court shall cite relevant laws, regulations and other normative legal documents in accordance with law as a ruling basis.
