The Annual Report on the Judicial Application of the Supreme People’s Court’s Guiding Cases (2015) was recently released! The Report, produced by the Legal Information Research Center of the Peking University and the Guiding Case Research Team of Chinalawinfo (also Pkulaw), is China's first empirical study report on the judicial application of the Supreme People's Court's guiding cases conducted in an all-directional, multi-dimensional and systematic manner by virtue of the big data analysis .
By using a total of 10,073,364 judgment documents in the judicial case database of Pkulaw as data sources and study objects, the Report conducts an in-depth and systemic study on the release and judicial application of 56 guiding cases in 11 batches issued by the Supreme People’s Court and sums up the rules and characteristics presented in the judicial application of these guiding cases. This Report is of great significance to the improvement of the judicial application of guiding cases.
