Recently, Beijing Health and Family Planning Commission issued the Implementation Opinions of Beijing Municipality on Adverse Records of Commercial Briberies in the Medicine Purchase and Sale Industry.

The Opinions require that medical and health institutions at all levels must enter into the Contract on Medical Product Sales and Purchases Conducted Honestly by Medical and Health Institutions with manufacturers before the purchase of medical supplies. In addition, the Opinions specify various activities that the staff of hospitals and medical enterprises are prohibited from conducting, and provide for corresponding punishments.
