On September 18, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) officially issued the Measures for Promoting Private Economy Development.
These 22 measures are divided into five aspects. First, the development environment for the private economy should be optimized continuously. More efforts should be made to tear down market access barriers and fully implement fair competition policies. Second, policy support for the private economy should be increased. These Measures call for more efforts to improve the collection and sharing of information and develop a sound system of credit ranking and evaluation for small- and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed businesses. Third, legal support for the development of the private economy should be enhanced. An intellectual property protection system and its supervision and enforcement rules should be continuously improved. Fourth, these Measures focus on promoting the high-quality development of the private economy. Private enterprises are encouraged to participate in standard formulation and measurement services. Fifth, a private economy-friendly social environment should be created. Positive experiences should be popularized and publicized.
