Xu Jiaxin, director of the Political Department of China's Supreme People's Court (SPC) wrapped up an eight-day visit to Finland and the Netherlands on Sept 17.
During his stay in Finland, Xu met with Timo Esko, president of the Supreme Court of Finland and Pekka Vihervuori, president of the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland.
He also attended the first China-Finland round table and visited local courts, receiving a warm welcome.
Staff with the Finland court system spoke highly of China's judicial reform over the past few years and expressed a willingness to deepen cooperation with the SPC.
In the Netherlands, Xu met with Maarten Feteris, president of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, and said that he hopes for closer cooperation in the judicial sector between the two countries.
Xu said both sides should provide judicial protection for the Belt and Road Initiative and contribute to global judicial civilization.
