| 1. On 21 January 2020, the inaugural meeting of the Joint Steering Committee between China and Brunei Darussalam was co-chaired by State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi of the People's Republic of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Haji Mohd. Yusof of Brunei Darussalam. Also in attendance was Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah of Brunei Darussalam. | | 一、2020年1月21日，中華人民共和國國務院國務委員兼外交部長王毅和文萊達魯薩蘭國外交事務主管部長艾瑞萬共同主持召開中國文萊政府間聯合指導委員會（以下簡稱“委員會”）首次會議。文萊首相府部長兼財政與經濟事務主管部長劉光明出席會議。 |
| 2. The two sides commended the positive momentum in the development of China-Brunei relations and following its elevation to a "Strategic Cooperative Partnership". Under the guidance of the important strategic consensus reached by the two heads of states, both sides agreed to further enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial economic cooperation, expand people-to-people and cultural connections, and strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest at the multilateral fora. | | 二、雙方贊賞中文關系在提升為戰略合作夥伴關系後取得的積極發展。一致認為應以兩國元首達成的重要戰略共識為指引，進一步增進政治互信，深化經濟互利，擴大人文互通，加強多邊互助。 |
| 3. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations in 2021, which will witness the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei Darussalam, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relations and Brunei Darussalam's chairmanship of ASEAN in 2021 and the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China. | | 三、雙方重申將著眼2021年中文建交30周年、中國-東盟建立對話關系30周年、中國共產黨成立100周年、文萊擔任東盟輪值主席國重要節點，進一步加強雙邊關系。 |
| 4. Both sides expressed the importance of the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) as an overarching mechanism providing strategic direction on cooperation between China and Brunei Darussalam, and welcomed the inauguration of the JSC in the purpose of further strengthening bilateral relations between China and Brunei Darussalam in various areas of cooperation. Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Brunei Darussalam on Establishing a Joint Steering Committee, both sides agreed to work towards establishing several working groups to discuss future cooperation in the ten (10) areas designated in the aforesaid MOU, namely economic, commercial and technical areas; bilateral trade and investments; legal and judicial; energy; information and communications technology; transportation; maritime; construction; industry; science, technology and innovation. | | 四、雙方將委員會視作為兩國合作提供戰略指導的重要統籌機制，歡迎啟動委員會，進一步加強雙邊關系及各領域合作。根據《中華人民共和國政府與文萊達魯薩蘭國政府關于建立政府間聯合指導委員會的諒解備忘錄》，雙方同意致力于在備忘錄確定的經濟、商務和科技，貿易和投資，法律司法，能源，信息和通信技術，交通，海上，建築，工業，科學技術和創新等10個合作領域成立若幹工作組。 |
