| The investigatory work undertaken by the security bodies of the Chinese People's Liberation Army with respect to criminal cases in the Army is of the same nature with that undertaken by the public security organs with respect to criminal cases. Therefore, the security bodies of the Army may, with respect to criminal cases in the Army, exercise the functions and powers of the public security organs of investigation, detention, preliminary examination and execution of arrest as provided by the Constitution and the Law. | | 中国人民解放军保卫部门承担军队内部发生的刑事案件的侦查工作，同公安机关对刑事案件的侦查工作性质是相同的，因此，军队保卫部门对军队内部发生的刑事案件，可以行使宪法和法律规定的公安机关的侦查、拘留、预审和执行逮捕的职权。 |
