meeting of the Ministry of Civil Affairs on June 7, 2004, are hereby issued for
implementation.

Article 1 The present Measures are hereby formulated in accordance with the Regulation on Foundation Administration and the relevant laws and regulations for the purpose of regulating the administration on name of foundations and protecting the legal rights and interests of foundations.
| | 第一条 为了规范对基金会名称的管理，保护基金会的合法权益，根据《基金会管理条例》及有关法律、法规，制定本规定。

Article 2 The present Provisions shall be applicable to the foundations established in accordance with the Regulation on Foundation Administration.
| | 第二条 本规定适用于按照《基金会管理条例》设立的基金会。

Article 3 The name of a foundation shall reflect the business scope of public welfare activities.
The name of a foundation shall cover in turn the trade name, business scope of public welfare activities, and end with the word “foundation”.
The name of a public offering foundation may not use a trade name.
| | 第三条 基金会名称应当反映公益活动的业务范围。
基金会的名称应当依次包括字号、公益活动的业务范围，并以“基金会”字样结束。
公募基金会的名称可以不使用字号。

Article 4 A national public offering foundation shall use such words as the “China (Zhongguo)”, “Chinese (Zhonghua)”, “Country (Quanguo)” and “National (Guojia)”, and etc. A non-public offering foundation may not use the preceding words.
．．．．．． | | 第四条 全国性公募基金会应当在名称中使用“中国”、“中华”、“全国”、“国家”等字样。非公募基金会不得使用上述字样。
地方性公募基金会和省、自治区、直辖市人民政府民政部门登记的非公募基金会应当冠以所在地的县级或县级以上行政区划名称。冠以省级以下行政区划名称的，可以同时冠以所在省、自治区、直辖市的名称。冠以市辖区名称的，应当同时冠以市的名称。
