Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the Portuguese Text of "the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China"  

全国人大常委会关于《中华人民共和国澳门特别行政区基本法》葡萄牙文本的决定

(Adopted at the Second Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress on July 2, 1993) (一九九三年七月二日第八届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二次会议通过)

The Second Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress decides: the Portuguese translation of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, examined and approved under the aegis of the Law Committee of the National People's Congress, shall be the official Portuguese text and shall be equally authentic as the Chinese text. In case there is any discrepancy in the meaning of wording between the Portuguese text and the Chinese text, the Chinese text shall prevail. 第八届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第二次会议决定:全国人民代表大会法律委员会主持审定的《中华人民共和国澳门特别行政区基本法》葡萄牙文译本为正式葡文本,和中文本同样使用;葡文本中的用语的含义如果有与中文本有出入的,以中文本为准。
